Terms of use
These terms apply to the ToyTrace mobile app, which is operated by OMMETRICS BİLGİ TEKNOLOJİLERİ PAZARLAMA ANONİM ŞİRKETİ, Küçükbakkalköy Mah. Ali Ay Sok. No:19/3, Ataşehir, İstanbul, Türkiye (“we”, “us”). By using the app, you agree to them. How we handle your data is described separately in our Privacy policy.
1. What the figures mean
All figures shown in ToyTrace are estimates built from asking prices in current listings. They are not an expert assessment, an offer to buy, or a guarantee of any kind.
In more detail:
- Figures come from listings currently for sale on eBay, not from completed sales. Listings that stay up unsold tend to be priced higher than items actually sell for, so asking prices usually sit above sale prices.
- Every figure is shown together with how many listings it is based on, and you can open the listings themselves.
- If no listings are found, the app says so. Any fallback range produced by an AI model is labelled “AI estimate” and is not market data.
- We do not buy toys, make offers, or act as a broker or dealer. What you actually get when you sell depends on the buyer, the condition, the timing and the platform.
Please do not treat any figure in the app as the basis for insurance, tax, inheritance or legal decisions. For those, consult a qualified professional.
2. Identification can be wrong
Recognition is done by an AI model from a photo, and photos can be unclear, toys can be reproductions, and variants can look almost identical. The app tells you when it is unsure, but it can still be wrong. If a result is wrong, use “Something wrong with this result?” on the result. A person reviews every report, and nothing in the shared catalog changes automatically.
3. Your account
The app creates an anonymous account on first launch. You do not need to sign up. Because the account is anonymous, if you uninstall the app or lose your device without having linked the account to a sign-in, you may lose access to your collection. We cannot recover an anonymous account for you.
4. Free scan, subscription and limits
Free
Your first scan is free, and you see its full result before you are asked to subscribe.
Premium subscription
- Premium is an auto-renewing subscription bought through the Apple App Store or Google Play. The price, billing period and any free trial are shown on the purchase screen before you confirm, in your local currency.
- Payment is taken by Apple or Google, not by us. The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the period ends, following Apple's or Google's rules.
- If a free trial is offered, you are not charged until it ends, and you are charged when it ends unless you cancel before then.
Scan limits
Premium includes 50 scans per day, as a fair-use limit. The day resets at midnight UTC. That is the limit: it is not a soft target. The app always shows how many scans you have left. If we ever change a limit, the new number will be shown in the app and on this page before it applies to you, and a limit will always be described as a limit.
5. Cancelling
You can cancel at any time. In the app, Settings has a one-tap cancellation path: it opens your App Store or Google Play subscriptions page, where you cancel. You can also go there directly:
- iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions, or apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions
- Android: Google Play → profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions, or play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions
After you cancel, Premium stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for. Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own policies. Where we can help, write to us.
6. Using the app fairly
Please do not:
- use the app, or our servers, through automated means (scripts, bots, scraping), or try to get around scan limits;
- reverse engineer, overload or interfere with the app or the services behind it;
- upload photos that are unlawful, or that you do not have the right to use;
- send deliberately false correction reports.
If an account is used in these ways, we may limit or suspend it.
7. Your photos and notes
Your photos and notes remain yours. You allow us to store and process them to run the app for you, as described in the Privacy policy. Your photos are never used as public catalog images automatically. That could only happen after a person has reviewed them.
8. Listings and sellers
Listings shown in the app belong to their sellers on eBay. We do not check them, stand behind them, or take part in any purchase. If you buy something, that is between you and the seller, under eBay's terms. eBay is a trademark of eBay Inc. ToyTrace is not sponsored or endorsed by eBay.
9. Availability and liability
We work to keep ToyTrace accurate and available, but we cannot promise that it will always be available, error-free, or that every identification or figure will be right. To the extent the law allows, the app is provided “as is”, and we are not liable for decisions you make based on the figures shown, including buying or selling decisions. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under the consumer protection laws that apply to you.
10. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we will update this page and the date at the top. Changes that affect what you pay for or your limits will also be shown in the app before they apply to you.
